Jonathan, see if the friend you have is willing to come over and troubleshoot this problem. I pulled the starter and the gear showing turns. I can't tell about any others. To remove the cover it will take a bike jack or numerous 2x4s. Before we go that far, I'd like to know we are going in the right direction.

I got home put the seat on, installed the starter and tried it. No go. I was so hopeful but that little bastard was somewhere close, I just know it.
Will raise it in the morning and pop open the case.
Thanks for the idea. I am so open for help.

Jonathan, I'm going to get up early in the morning and put the bike together. I don't have a good enough light to really do it tonight. I'll be ready in the morning.

Whenever a wave rolls into the beach there's always a low in the level afterwards. I got a call from Village Cycle today. They misquoted the repair costs. They mistakenly quoted me a repair cost on a warranty claim. Mine is actually over $850. But Carl offered to drop labor costs bringing the price to $650. Mine has to have an idler gear the other bike did not need also, $220. Reviewing financial at this time.

Sorry to hear that. When it rains, it pours. Is he still looking to have it done in time?
