Until I got my Joe Rocket I always at least wore a long sleeve shirt. Since I got the JR I won't get on the bike without it. I also won't ride unless I have my boots. It may not be as comfortable as riding in a short sleeve shirt and sneakers but should the day come where I meet spill city it will be worth it. Gloves have to have leather on them for me. . . may save some palm skin because I know it'll be the first thing I try to use to slow down.
I'll also NEVER ride without a helmet. After what happened to Wild Bill only an idiot would ride without a brain bucket.
I'm also putting a pair of JR pants on my wish list.

Knowing how drivers are around here, check out the safety gear I saw a rider wearing today. How would he do in a meeting with our expert drivers in Columbus:
T-shirt Shorts rubber shower shoes helmet HD
Asphalt hamburger?

Saw about the same setup in Starkville today when I went back to the parts house to get the switch and the fuse. They may look "cool" right up till the body meats the asphalt.

Not to be too much of a kill joy here but the same thing will happen to our legs as the guy wearing the shorts. Sure my ankles will look good but the rest of me is gonna be hamburger...the only problem is finding that blend of ease of use and actual protection. If it isn't somewhat easy to put on...most of us won't wear it.
