The plan is to have a 3 day ride, 5 Sept, to Arkansas to ride Scenic 7. First day will be from here to Hot Spring, AR. Should be about 325+ miles.
Day 2 will be from Hot Springs to Harrison AR., stopping for lunch, and back to Hot Springs. Should be about 300+ round trip.
Day 3 will be the return. Plan to return the same way as going in.
Have read that Scenic 7 is one of the top 10 scenic rides in the country, and have been told by people who have ridden it, it is a great ride.
This is an open ride, anyone wants to go - great. If you get on the ride and don't like it, leave and no hard feelings. It's a ride I want to make and would like to have anyone who wants to go.

I am currently looking into a large cabin rental and splitting the cost between everyone, depending on how many go. I don't need much as far as amenities goes...clean bed and roof that doesn't leak. I never have been a "five star" kind of guy anyway.

For those that want to know, we are staying at the Happy Hollow Motel...it is close to everything and had good reviews...price is about 62 a night for double occupancy. Split that's pretty cheap.

Make my reservation Friday. Lady ask upstairs or downstairs? I told her Boomer's name and said whatever he got was what I wanted. Looking forward to this trip, but seeing how we used ALL our weather luck on the Dragon, looking for rain on this trip. Don't care!

I'm pulling a man rule here and not cancelling my bike trip for a wedding. I like LB but I really don't like weddings in the first place and I doubt he would know if I was there or not...but Missy will be there representing the McCoy Tribe.

Talked to Steve, that's the week break between classes. He's pretty much locked to that weekend, so I'll be riding. Hope to see LB before the ride. Truth be known, he'd probably rather be on a ride than in a wedding - I KNOW I would!

Just got off the phone with Steve. His neighbor Mike is a definite for the trip. Steve told him if the bike is loud, and Mike finished the sentence, is in the back. Need to get a firm headcount on who all is in. Looks like we will need an additional room. John Brown said he was thinking about going; I will try to get a firm answer from him today.
I'M IN. Steve's in Mike's in Ed's in Boomer's in

Last count put us at 7 right? We are getting close so we are trying to nail down a definate number. Bonehead has been talking to a rider in Hot Springs that wants to meet up with us...I'm cool with that as long as he knows the loud rule...in the back or risk getting shot!

Every one is firm with the exception of John Brown. Talked to him Thursday and he was back on the fence. Might have money issue - didn't ask, but he said he wasn't sure. He was making his own reservations, so it want effect us as far as that goes. Talked to Steve - He's a go, along with Mike. They plan to stay with me Thursday night and leave with me on Friday to meet up at the Traceway Inn.
