Took the 650 out for a stretch today. Dad asked where I planned to go. Told him "that way", not pointing to anything. 70 miles later came back. Went south on 25 to Morgantown road, took it to Sturgis-Louisville road. Went south on it back to 25, then south to 15. Took 15 to Ackerman, detouring around Choctaw lake and back. Took 12 to Sturgis and on to the metroplex of Bradley. Took Silver Ridge road back to Craig and home. That bike, all be it a good machine, always reminds me why I have a Goldwing!

I asked him and he said no. I think that wreck took more that just starch outta him, I think it took the motorcycle spirit out as well. On one hand I hate he had the wreck: I was looking forward to he and I riding together, but on the other hand, he was getting thingyy and I couldn't tell him anything. Just glad he didn't get hurt no more than he did. So I guess I have a spare bike, and for now, isn't a bad thing - just sad.

Give him some time and he might want to ride again only this time I bet he is mindful of his old man and the road in front of him.
