Alright, Its time to talk about laying down rubber in the new year. Where should we go and why? Also when should we go and why? I am open for almost anything, but consider the weather (i.e. rain, cold) and other stuff. Steve-O

My idea would be WPAFB, Springfield Il, St Louis Mo, and home. Would give us 5 new states visited, could visit Lincoln's grave and the Arch along with the museum. Total miles direct is 1517 round trip. Probably would need 5 days for this. An alternate would be to go to Oklahoma City, see the 45 inf museum (free), down to Dallas and across thru LA and back home. Would be 3 new states there and could be done over a 3 day weekend.

Also plan for an overnighter to Fla, probably to Pensacola NAS museum.

I agree camping would be fun as long as the weather permits. Obviously we can always check into a motel. The bigger question is logistics of carrying tents and bags. Bill, where you at??

Sounds good and like we said, we can always find a hotel if the weather turns ugly. There will be additional logistics so I'll need your help if we decide to go the camping route. First we need to decide where we are headed and when we are going.

I like the Hwy 98 ride idea. I think the Campground at NAS Pensacola is very close to the museum. Three days on a three day holiday is important for me along with getting the Mississippi Swim schedule, which won't be out until the end of February. I'm good for camping too!

I would vote for 15-17, just taking 1 day off work. My 2 cents worth.
