Had to come back to the house to get my tool bag and adjust the shift lever. It was too low in the front for my preference. I adjusted it, loaded all the comm stuff and hit the road. Did the trip to the Farm. Apout 230 miles round trip. Motor sound different but performs well. Has more of a HD lope to it now. I'll be there Tuesday! AND SATURDAY!!!!!!!!

Looked at the down range forecast for here, Bristol, Waynesboro, and Cherokee for next weekend. If it holds, we may have some rain to deal with early in the trip, but the rest looks good. We'll see.

Spruce, we'd like nothing better than to have you along. It would be nice to have 5 or 10 bikes on the ride. We are planning a ride to Birmingham in late September, maybe you can make that. Its for a friend of ours in the desert who is coming home on leave. We'll hit Bass Pro Shop and some other stuff. Then one year from now we are going to Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio to the Air Force Museum. Tossed in there somewhere is a trip to the Little Dragon, www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/MidWest/OH/OH_20.shtmlFound Mississippi rides too: www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/SouthEast/MS/MS_index.htm

Air filter and anti-freeze change done, checked brake pads wear and they are good...ordered me a LED Lenser for the trip, hope it comes in. Gonna change the oil and trans fluid here in a little bit and then pull off the front tire for the change tommorow. Got fresh batteries in the radio and fixed the speaker alignment problem I was having in my helmet. I'll pack up Thursday or Friday based on latest weather forecast. Looks chillly at night up there.

The hardest part is now. . . . . waiting to hit the road when everything is ready! Did another "mod" on the bike to defend my electronics on trips
