I back home. There's 353 miles of butt time. I'm sore in the butt bones, but still had a great ride. Small amount of rain - actually felt good, it was hot and humid. See everyone at work

Well with new developments I won't be able to make the ride. Maybe you all will have so much fun will want to do it next year.

All is not lost. Put the bike back together, we ride around here. Either way we are riding, that's all that matters. I've missed two big trips, this is only your first. It's cool. You've got one more miss before you are even. I am more prepared to go now because I had a year to flex a little. I got a tight fisted banker! No problem my friend. When you get it completed rest assured you'll have any or all of us ready to hit the road.

Last time I checked, no one has said this is our last ride...we are always riding so take your time, do the job right and we will be ready when you are.

We're already planning to go to the Air Force museum in Ohio next year. I can tell you this isn't the last trip. I'd like to do one each year as long as I can.

Here's the rough plan Bill and I worked up for the trip: 5 Sep -Columbus 0600: Huddle House, eat and depart by 0700 Huddle House > Gadsden: Lunch Cracker Barrel Gadsden > Kingsport TN: Hotel Unknown > EOD Kingsport > WV touch > Comfort Inn Waynesboro VA Breakfast at Shoney's > Cherokee > Tuskegee Inn Robbinsville Robbinsville > Iron Horse Inn for breakfast > Deals Gap > Dragon > Robbinsville > Tellico Plains > Cleveland TN > Chattanooga > Home
We did this without a map. As we finalize it I will replace vague with Highway numbers

I'm afraid that Kentucky is out for this trip. I mapquest a route thru cumberland, ky thru wv and on to waynesboro and it's almost 500 miles. On the other hand, a trip from bristol to Fayetteville, wv where the New river gorge bridge is and on to waynesboro is a little less than 333. Direct route from Bristol to Waynesboro is 230.77 miles. Comments?

Corrected trip maps. Made it print out day by day which reads pretty much easier.
