Boomer can you bring the TO tonight? I may can copy the no BS instructions on removing the tire. Or are you interested in selling it?
Either way, thanks.

After slowly reading the Clymer manual Boomer sold me, I don't think it will be as bad as I first thought. I think I can get the bike up high enough to not have to remove the seats and fender, we'll see. Corey and I will start after his swim practice in the morning. I'll use the hour he's gone to make sure I have final gear oil (looks like the chunk oil I had left from the Jeep locker will work), molyb and lithium soap grease. Then once he's here, we'll tear into it so he can at least tell the paramedics what happened . . . . .
See everyone at the Auto Hobby shop at 1230 if all goes well. Sure don't look forward to having to drive the truck a day or two.

The wheel assy is off and in the back of the truck with the new tire. Clymer said to lift off the final drive but I couldn't get it to budge, so I left it on and will bring it along. See everyone at 1230

Well I got my tires mounted, but I'm still hesitant about adding more gas to the tank to set everything up till the new petthingy comes in. Again I will not be using Twist of the wallet to order ANY new parts...

I got the tire reinstalled and rode to work tonight. I had DTs yesterday when I had to drive the truck. The tire seems to ride out quite nice. I hope it lasts because it is a PITA to change it. No wonder bike shops charge so much to change a Silverado rear tire.
Front tire looks to be significantly easier. I hope to make the front tire last until hopefully the first of 2009. With Bill's ride plans I may be lucky to make it past September!

No problem. Hate the way local shops "hook" riders on the price. Need to give a shout to snowlf for taking care of us. Good to have friends.

I ordered my front tire tonight. I'm sure it won't be here before the end of the week. If the Dragon is on the slate for 5 Sept I'm out. No way I'm riding that far then run the Dragon on my front tire. Enjoy the ride and maybe before this new set wears out there will be a return trip to Deals Gap.
I also picked up some SeaFoam tonight to try and clean out my carbs. I think there's some crap in there and SeaFoam is supposed to remove crap. I plan on putting some in the pickup too.

Roger on the tire. Let me know when it gets in and we'll make the trek to the auto hobby shop. I'll bring the balancer, which will ride on the bike, so we don't have to wait for a wet day.

Tire arrived Friday. I'm going to take it off Sunday, and take it to get new bearings put in Monday and maybe we can get the tire mounted Tuesday if possible.
