I received an update on my tire order tonight. When I checked FEDEX it said my tire would deliver Saturday 14 Jun. IF Fedex actually delivers on Saturday, when do we want to converge on the Hobby shop? I'll check and see if they are even open on Mondays.
UPDATE: It won't be Monday. Here's the schedule:
HOURS OF OPERATION: Tuesday, 1000-2000 Wed-Sat, 0900-1700 Mondays – Closed Closed on Holidays
Just tell me when to be there and me, my bike and my tire will appear.
The tire arrived at 1500 today, 14 Jun!

Tuesday will work. How about 12:30. Have you found the destructions on how to remove the tire?

The "Key Master" is Boomer. He knows how to remove it and said he'll bring the impact wrench, so it sounds hardcore. I'll bring my torque wrench. Will 1230 allow enough time? My show time is 1356. Just curious.

It'll only take about 20 min to mount and balance the tire. Ask boomer how long it will take to R2 the wheel + 20 - your show time will be when we need to show. I'm flexible.

Shouldn't take more than 4-5 min each way with the impact.

Look at the manual for the 1100xvs (which is what you have) there is more to it than mine. We need to take a close look at your bike Monday. This might be one of those do it at the house and take the wheel to the Hobby Shop. We might have to take the rear fender off due to the way it wraps around lower than mine did...also for some reason it says it needs to be jacked up pretty high in the back...like I said we need to take a look. Mine had four lug nuts that had to come off and you had to take the mufflers off...not that big of a deal, trust me. They are slip on muffs, you don't take the whole pipe off.

I only found one seemingly good description for removing the tire. See if this sounds familiar:
Silverado Rear Tire Removal
1st off do you have a cradle lift? if not you are going to need one or at least 2 jacks so you can lift the rear end off the deck. (I have a common floor jack. In the manger out back I have a rope hoist which I use to lift my riding mower to change the blades. It may lift the rear end of the bike) You will also need to remove the seats and rear fender to allow free clearance for the wheel to come out. (Oh boy) Undo the rear caliper from the carrier (which is 2x 12mm bolts at the calliper and a 14mm bolt on the top of the carrier which attaches it to the swing arm). This will be a bugger to move past the wheel. I cable tie mine to the rear foot rest to pull it out of the way. Undo the 4 bolts (14mm) holding the drive bevel in place. Undo the 2x12mm bolts that clamp the axle in place after you have undone the big bolt (19 or 22mm cannot remember sorry).
Once it is all apart, slide the whole assembly backwards. Be careful not to drop the shaft on the floor. Make a note of how the axle comes out of the bike to ensure the spacers go back in the right order. While its all apart, grease everything up and pack the shaft spline on the output with grease. Reassembly is the reverse, just do not over torque anything especially the bolts on the bevel, as that will be very expensive to fix/replace.
Sounds like a good reason to photo everthing and add it to the forum. . . . . .

The service manual or just owners manual? I've got the owners manual and it says nothing about wheel and tire removal. It seems the 99-05 had the same repair info. I found a PDF for the 1999 Silverado.

I noticed on the first picture the yellow dot. Don't remove that, it's the line up mark for the valve stem. Good looking tire. Be curious how it wears.
If you decide to remove it at the house (might be a good idea due to time crunch) let's move the time back to 12:30. We will have plenty of time to mount and balance.
Oh, by the way - bring some alcohol with you. Need some to clean the rim for the stick on weights.

The manual I have is the shop manual. Kind of like a T.O.

Alcohol, check. I will pull the tire Monday morning and we can go with 1230 for the hobby shop. Just a reminder, I need pics of everyones bike for the bottom of the forum page. E-mail them to me and I'll get the code written to display it. Boomer sent a good one for the big banana.

Thanks boomer. I had to reformat the new home computer so all the files were wiped, but I still have the pictures on my external. Just have to upload them. This saves me time.
